The first study of its type in Lebanon and the Middle East region to profile the mental health of national taekwondo athletes using the International Olympic Committee’s Sport Mental Health Assessment Tool (SMHAT-1), with 110 black-belt athletes recruited through the Lebanese Taekwondo Federation — informing targeted athlete-wellbeing programs. Dr. Zarifeh contributed as co-author (investigation, methodology, and validation), affiliated with the Lebanese Taekwondo Federation, Sin El Fil, Beirut.

Guest Speaker — 24th International Annual Congress of the DGL, Berlin 2015
Lecture: “Crown Lengthening in Soft and Hard Tissues in the Esthetic Zone” — Deutsche Gesellschaft für Laserzahnheilkunde (DGL), the German Society for Laser Dentistry, held together with LASER START UP 2015, Berlin, Germany.
A two-day international congress of 250 participants, opened by Prof. Dr. Norbert Gutknecht, with every lecture interpreted simultaneously into English and German. Dr. Zarifeh was the guest speaker from Lebanon, lecturing alongside speakers from Germany, the United Kingdom, Canada, Romania, the United States and Finland. His lecture is listed in the official congress programme (“Dr Habib Zarifeh/Beirut (LB)”) and recorded in the congress report of laser, the international magazine of laser dentistry — issues 3/2015 and 4/2015, Oemus Media.
It remains the most fully documented of his international lectures — an independent, printed record from a national laser-dentistry society — and its subject became his 2019 clinical article “Crown Lengthening in the Aesthetic Zone” (laser 3/2019).
